Privacy policy

This policy covers The Extinction Log Publisher ("the app"), a private tool used only by the owner of The Extinction Log channel to manage that channel's own accounts. Contact: theextinctionlog@vitalyroo.com.

Who uses the app

Only the channel owner. The app has no public sign up, no other users and no customers. It runs on the owner's own computer.

What data the app accesses

When the owner signs in with Google and approves access, the app uses the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API to reach the owner's own YouTube channel: its videos and their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists and settings, the comments on its videos, and its viewing statistics. It does the same, with the owner's permission, for the channel's own accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram and LinkedIn.

The app does not access any other person's account. It reads comments that viewers leave on the channel's videos only so the owner can read and answer them.

How the data is used

Only to publish and describe the channel's own videos, show the owner the channel's statistics, and let the owner read and reply to comments and organise playlists. Nothing is posted without the owner pressing the button to post it.

Storage and sharing

The sign in tokens and any saved data stay on the owner's computer and the owner's own private server. Nothing is sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train artificial intelligence models.

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YouTube and Google

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Removing access and deleting data

Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google security settings page at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or from the equivalent page on each platform. Once access is withdrawn, the stored tokens stop working and are deleted, along with any saved copies of channel data, within 30 days, or sooner on request by email.
